Dear Mary and Lou,

After you left on Friday, July 18, I took the time to examine your latest gift to USS Massachesetts Memorial Committee. It really is exquisite. Lou, you are a master craftsman and should be very proud of your abilities. I know we are very proud and delighted to be the recipients of your generousity. We're looking forward to displaying USS Stark and all the other ships models received from you.

I'm sorry I did not have the opportunity to see you before you left Battleship Cove. I was interviewing candidates for employment and was locked in a little room.

My favorite new coffee mug (with a BaD Ship Model on it) has a prominent place on the credenza behind my desk. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness. I'll be thinking of you folks every time I fill it.

Mary and Lou, please accept my deep appreciation on behalf of the Board of Directors for your continuing generosity. Be assured your wonderful models will be displayed with great pride. They add a new dimension to Battleship Cove I want you to know, also, that you are always welcome aboard. You are true "Friends of the Battleship."
